Force in the Dark is about moving forward before you can see what’s ahead.
Deep, electric blues emerge through layers of bronze, black, and muted earth tones, while sweeping marks move upward and across the canvas. Some disappear into darker passages before resurfacing elsewhere, creating momentum that never fully resolves.
I created this piece around the idea that movement doesn’t always require certainty. Sometimes you keep going without a clear destination, responding to what appears and finding your way through it as you go.
The contrast between luminous color and shadow gives the painting an intensity that shifts depending on where your eye lands.
Force in the Dark is a reminder that you don’t have to see the entire path to keep moving.
Medium: Acrylic on canvas
Dimensions: 24" × 30" (Unframed)
Finish: Protective top coat applied
Display: Ready to hang
