About Me

Have you ever looked at an abstract painting and discovered something different each time you came back to it?

That's the experience I want my work to create.

My paintings invite you to slow down, embrace curiosity, and find your own meaning through color, texture, and movement. Rather than telling a single story, each piece leaves space for your own memories, emotions, and perspective.

For much of my career, I worked with words.

As a copywriter, editor, and content strategist, my job was helping brands and authors communicate ideas clearly. Painting became something entirely different. It gave me the freedom to explore emotions and experiences that couldn't always be expressed in words. Today, abstract art has become another way to tell stories—only this time, the interpretation is yours.

My work explores the balance between chaos and calm. Flowing brushstrokes and layered textures reflect the way life unfolds—messy, unpredictable, and always moving forward. Every painting begins with curiosity rather than a rigid plan. I may start with a color palette, but the piece evolves naturally as layers build and unexpected moments emerge. Some of my favorite paintings feel less like they're being planned and more like they're revealing themselves one brushstroke at a time.

Gold leaf frequently appears in my work, inspired by memories of my grandmother's "gold room." She collected gold frames, figurines, lamps, and treasured objects that filled one corner of my grandparents' home with warmth. That sense of connection has stayed with me throughout my life.

The touches of gold in my paintings also serve as quiet reminders that beauty can emerge through growth, resilience, and transformation, much like the philosophy of kintsugi, the traditional Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold to honor its history rather than hide it.

If you're drawn to abstract art that encourages reflection instead of providing all the answers, I hope these paintings give you a reason to pause. Some people see landscapes. Others see movement, emotion, or memories they hadn't expected. There isn't a right interpretation. The painting becomes part of your story the moment it enters your space.
