Electric Daydream is what happens when you give your mind permission to wander.
Bright yellow and orange meet deep greens and blues, while repeated lines, loose curves, and unexpected marks move across the canvas in different directions. Some patterns begin and abruptly stop. Others overlap or lead the eye somewhere entirely new.
I created this piece by following that same kind of wandering energy—letting one color suggest the next mark and one gesture change the direction of what followed. I didn't feel the need to make every decision connect or lead toward a predetermined result.
The contrast between bold color and rhythmic marks gives the painting its playful, restless energy.
Electric Daydream is a celebration of following an idea simply because you’re curious where it might take you.
Medium: Acrylic on canvas
Dimensions: 20" × 24" (Unframed)
