Layers build across the canvas through broad strokes, looping lines, drips, scraped textures, and flashes of genuine gold leaf. Warm pinks and oranges collide with earthy browns and soft neutrals, while black lines travel freely through the composition—sometimes controlled, sometimes wandering completely off course.
Instead of smoothing over those changes, I allowed each decision to leave a trace. Marks overlap other marks. Paint runs where it wants to run. Earlier choices remain visible beneath what came next.
